For more than a century, Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital has been committed to the health and wellness of our south Louisville communities. With the 2016 renovation and expansion of our emergency department, we’re proud to continue that tradition for years to come.
Our enhanced ER is one of the busiest in the region, with more beds, newer technology and better access to expert care for you and your loved ones. We are ready day and night with skilled emergency medicine physicians, nurses and support staff, with direct access to specialists, as needed. And we offer advanced imaging right on site, to quickly diagnose stroke, heart attack and other life-threatening conditions and put you on the fast track to treatment.
It’s everything you’d expect from our community hospital: quality, compassionate, faith-based care, right here at home.
Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital has earned national recognition from The Joint Commission for providing rapid-response stroke care that significantly improves outcomes. As soon as symptoms begin, our team is ready to spring into action with advanced diagnostics and proven treatments—including clot-busting medications that can save brain cells and help prevent long-term disability.
At the Level-of-Care Assessment a Master’s Level clinician will gather details regarding the nature of your problems. The purpose of the assessment is to evaluate your physical, psychological and emotional health. We will discuss the information provided in your assessment interview with an on-call Our Lady of Peace psychiatrist and provide you with a recommendation for the level of treatment that is appropriate, i.e., Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient or Outpatient Counseling at a community agency.
We offer Level-of-Care Assessments via face-to-face in our Assessment and Referral Centers, telehealth and mobile.
