If you have chronic kidney disease, your kidneys are not working as well as they should, so it is very important to change what you eat and drink to help you feel better. This is often referred to as a Renal Diet plan.
Chronic kidney disease can happen for various reasons such as a side effect of uncontrolled diabetes, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or other extreme kidney infections.
Depending on your stage of kidney disease, it is advised to control the levels of sodium, potassium, phosphorus and fluid that you take in from all of the different foods and beverages.
One of our registered dietitian can help guide you through the renal diet.
