We help children and adolescents with problems such as depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional behavior, bipolar disorder, unresolved grief and trauma, and substance use disorders, as well as other psychiatric and dual diagnosis disorders. Treatment is provided at various levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming.
Innovations Inpatient Programs - The Innovations Program provides intensive psychiatric and behavioral treatment for children and adolescents with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities that include Autism Spectrum Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome as well as many other diagnoses. Participants attend Peace Academy, a fully accredited school. The focus of treatment is to decrease challenging behaviors through function based behavioral interventions designed to teach and reinforce more appropriate social and communication skills.
Youth Female Intensive Services - Our Lady of Peace is the only hospital in the state of Kentucky that has a behavioral program designed to treat highly acute female adolescents. Our unit is designed to provide acute and extended care for females ages 12 to 18 that display highly aggressive and/or self-injurious behaviors.
Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization - “Crossroads” serves school-age (ages 5-18) youth who are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral disorders. It provides crisis stabilization when outpatient treatment alone is insufficient or ineffective. For those youth that do not require inpatient treatment, it serves as a step-down program to provide smoother transition back into the community. Our team of professionals includes Board Certified Psychiatrists, Licensed Clinicians, Registered Nurses and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Family participation is strongly recommended.
