Vascular Care

Jewish Hospital Vascular Care has led the way in patient care for 30 years

Based out of the Jewish Hospital, the physicians of Vascular Surgery Associates have provided specialized diagnosis and treatment of vein, artery and circulation issues for nearly 30 years. Our expert team performs a full range of surgical and nonsurgical treatments, and their expertise can make the difference in your vascular care.

Treatments provided by Vascular Surgery Associates include traditional open surgical procedures, expert comprehensive care for a variety of vascular issues and minimally invasive endovascular surgery. The minimally invasive surgical approach allows many patients to resume normal activities quickly after a short hospital stay.

Aortic Center & Hybrid OR

Included in the vascular care provided at Jewish Hospital are treatments for all aortic conditions, including abodominal aneurysms, thoracic aneurysms and dissections. The aorta is the main artery in the human body, distributing oxygen-filled blood to all parts of the body, and requires state-of-the-art treatment techniques when needed. These latest treatments are available within the Aortic Center at Jewish Hospital, including complex surgical reconstruction, endovascular stent grafts and medical therapy.

The latest innovation in vascular care at Jewish Hospital is not a treatment, but rather a new operating room (OR), which is the first of its kind in Kentucky - a hybrid OR. This new OR is multifunctional and can be used to treat many different types of heart and vascular conditions. The hybrid OR is a great benefit in treating patients with complex vascular diseases because its advanced imaging capabilities allows for more minimally invasive procedures.

Our commitment to “improved circulation” begins before any treatments, procedures or therapies though. In an effort to prevent vascular events, like aneurysms or strokes, from occurring, KentuckyOne Health offers diagnostic vascular screenings at multiple facilities for just $50. Since vascular conditions do not always present with symptoms, a screening could help detect a problem before it occurs. Read more about our vascular screenings or call 502.587.4327 to schedule one.
