Stroke Survivor to Discuss Recovery and Journey
During Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital Awareness Event
Free seminar on Tuesday, August 1


Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital and Jewish Hospital, both part of KentuckyOne Health, are helping educate community members about stroke prevention, treatment and rehabilitation during a free seminar on Tuesday, August 1. The National Stroke Association reports that each year, nearly 800,000 Americans experience a stroke, which can happen to anyone at any age and time. Knowing the warning signs and symptoms can help save a life.

Kelly Marsh, a stroke survivor, and her husband, Brad, will be guest speakers at the event. Kelly was the Chief Marketing Officer at Thomas More College in Northern Kentucky when she suffered a near-fatal stroke at the age of 36. She and her husband co-authored the book, Love Stroke: Stroke Recovery and One Young Couple’s Journey, to help other stroke victims and caregivers.
