Sanders Foundation & Charitable Trust and local community donors, the hospital now boasts a modern Emergency Department, including 13 private treatment rooms, a state-of-the art trauma room, bedside registration and other new equipment. In addition, the hospital’s focus on advanced care has resulted in Shelbyville having the largest percentage of Emergency Certified Nurses in the KentuckyOne Health organization.
To support emergency and other medical care, the KentuckyOne Health organization has made a significant investment in Medical Imaging services at JHS, offering MRI, CT, PET/CT, Neuro-radiology, Musculoskeletal/Orthopedic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine/Cardiac Imaging, Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, and Dexa Bone Density Screening. Board certified radiologists, with multiple specialties, are onsite to provide quick results.
