Dr. John A. Van Arsdall II joins KentuckyOne Primary Care Associates
Louisville, KY (July 15, 2014) – John A. Van Arsdall II, M.D., M.S., F.A.C.P., has joined KentuckyOne Primary Care Associates, formerly Louisville Medical Associates.
The LaGrange native, who was raised in Springfield, Kentucky, completed undergraduate study at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, then earned a master’s degree in microbiology at University of Louisville and his M.D. degree at U of L as well. He completed an internship and residency in both internal medicine and infectious diseases at U of L and UK.
The physician is board-certified in internal medicine, infectious diseases and managed care medicine.
Van Arsdall has been in private practice since 1978. He has held a number of leadership positions, including president of the American Cancer Society’s Mercer County Chapter; chief of staff at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital; member of the Ethics Committee of Jewish Hospital; chairman of the infection control program at Norton’s Hospital; and former medical director for CareContinuum, a division of Express Scripts, Inc.
He has served as assistant clinical professor of medicine at the U of L School of Medicine and as assistant professor of biology at Berea College. He has also co-authored a number of scientific papers.
