KentuckyOne Health Names Director of Service Line Operations
Louisville, Ky. (May 29, 2014)—KentuckyOne Health, the largest health system in the Commonwealth, has named Tamela M. Smith as director of service line operations.
In her new position, Smith will be responsible for collaborating with national teams to support KentuckyOne Health service line leadership’s efforts to achieve local and national goals. She will manage operational improvements to increase consistency, initiate process improvements, manage resources across the organization to achieve service line objectives and maintain a strong and collaborative relationship with the employees and physicians of various service lines. Additionally, she will lead multi-disciplinary teams within each service line to achieve objectives set forth by leadership.
Smith has a wealth of experience in operations and supply chain management, including 22 years with the former Jewish Hospital & St. Mary HealthCare, now KentuckyOne Health. Her expertise includes extensive experience in project management, performance improvement, benchmarking, and data and cost analysis.
During her tenure with the organization she has worked as manager, systems and operations/application administrator-supply chain, operations analyst and management engineer.
Smith, a resident of Buckner, Kentucky, holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Louisville and master’s degree in business administration from Bellarmine University.
